A weekend event including networking & professional development events for Muppies members from around the world, and a two-day symposium with talks from leading executives, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders across private, public and non-profit sectors.

This year’s conference will be more interactive and engaging than ever before.

The Saturday session (Oct 28th) will run from 7:30am to 5:15pm.
The Sunday session will run from 8:00am to 1pm, followed by a networking brunch.

Announced Speakers

Shahla Aly, Director of Tools and Analytics, Google
Shahla has built her career in the tech world with global companies such as IBM, Microsoft and Google in strategy, communications, sales and marketing roles. She has also served on the board of various non-profit organizations. We look forward to learning about Shahla’s journey of self empowerment as she climbed up the corporate ladder in the tech world.

Mirza Baig, Partner, Aldrich Capital Partners
As a serial entrepreneur and investor in healthcare and technology, he has been involved in scaling operations and growing sales to build large businesses that have enjoyed successful outcomes.

Ahmad Nassar, President of NFL Players Incorporated
Mr. Nassar oversees all operations of this $166M in annual revenue company. He leads commercial negotiations with the NFL and key partners such as Electronic Arts, Nike, Fanatics, Uber, Panini, Topps, ESPN and others. Mr. Nassar currently serves as Board Chairman of both ACE Media and the OneTeam Collective, and serves as aboard member for the University of Michigan’s Sports Management Program and the American Bar Association’s Sports and Entertainment Division. He was a recipient of Sports Business Journal’s prestigious Forty Under 40 award, and previously taught Sports Law at Georgetown University for several years.

Faiz Shakir, National Political Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
Faiz is at the forefront of advancing the organization’s priorities at both the federal and state levels. He has previously worked as a senior advisor to former Democratic Leader Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and was a founding member and editor-in-chief of ThinkProgress.org

Dr. Mona Siddiqui, Office of the Chief Technology Officer at the Department of Health and Human services.
Dr. Siddiqui brings experience at the intersection of health data, strategy and innovation. She has previously worked at one of the largest health systems in the country implementing efficiency measures, providing strategic insights into changing payment structures ,and delivering actionable data driven knowledge of health care policy decisions.

Nabiha Syed, Assistant General Counsel, Buzzfeed
Nabiha is a media lawyer, writer, and freedom of information activist. Her research interests include transparency, surveillance, drone technology, and the interplay between national security and civil liberties. She is also a Nonresident Fellow at the Center for Internet and Society, Stanford University, a Research Fellow at Yale Law School and Co-Founder and Co-editor of Drone U, a website devoted to exploring the legal, political, and social issues concerning drone technology.

Sameer Syed, Strategic Partnerships, Google
Sameer works in Strategic Partnerships at Google where he is responsible for building, managing and growing partnerships with Google’s largest strategic digital media partners. Previously, Sameer worked in Business & Corporate Development roles at Tremor video and at ad tech startup, Genesis Media. He began his career as an Investment Banking analyst at J.P. Morgan in the Financial Institutions Group.
