Social worker turned social entrepreneur, Amany is the Co-Founder & COO of LaunchGood.com, a crowdfunding platform that helps Muslims raise funds for their projects, campaigns, and creative ideas.
Since its inception, LaunchGood has raised over $90 million for over 7000 projects impacting 120 countries. LaunchGood has been featured on major news channels including CNN, Al Jazeera, NPR, and NBC. The company’s leadership won the Ethical Finance Innovation Challenge award, received the Islamic Economy Award from the ruler of Dubai and was invited to the White House by President Obama.
Amany’s impact extends even beyond LaunchGood; as the founder of the Detroit Minds and Hearts Fellowship, she develops social justice initiatives with Muslim youth. She has also held a host of positions at different social impact organizations, including the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, the American Learning Institute for Muslims and more. Amany is a graduate of Way State University’s School of Social Work.
