Serial Entrepreneur, Founder, and CEO of HOPPR, data, and deep learning as a service platform, enabling data liquidity to accelerate and scale AI application development.  Dr. Khan Siddiqui brings over 25 years of experience to HOPPR as a practicing Radiologist and technology professional. Dr. Siddiqui is also Founder and Chief Medical Officer of higi – a consumer health technology company. higi gives consumers unsurpassed access to track and acts on their health data through a network of over 10,000 FDA-cleared smart health stations and over 80 integrated health devices and apps. higi stations are conveniently used nearly 1 million times per week at pharmacy retailers, community locations, and employer worksites nationwide.  Dr. Siddiqui leads to the development of HOPPR and higi’s products and technologies and is responsible for the strategic direction of both companies. His primary goal is to improve patient engagement and positively impact health outcomes through artificial intelligence and behavior change principles.

Dr. Siddiqui holds 12 patents for technology in areas of deep learning, AI, image processing, data visualization, as well as securing patient information handling and health records. His current research includes large scale studies on the impact of ubiquitous access to health in combination with artificial intelligence and persuasive technologies to improve healthcare outcomes. Dr. Siddiqui particularly focuses on how to secure and protect data while enabling the development of deep learning models to accelerate practical applications of AI in healthcare.

He can also be found as a visiting Associate Professor at the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he’s shared his expertise on a variety of subjects such as artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare.

Prior to founding HOPPR in 2019 and higi in 2012, Dr. Siddiqui was a Physician Executive at Microsoft where he was responsible for platform engineering and machine learning for the health solutions group. His Microsoft legacy includes stimulating computer vision and machine learning research that led to the development of the regression forest algorithms, which are now the foundation technology in the Xbox Kinect.  Dr. Siddiqui was responsible for developing Microsoft’s cloud-based medical imaging products and infrastructure.

Prior to Microsoft, Dr. Siddiqui was Director of Center for Biomedical Imaging and Informatics at Johns Hopkins University, Program Director of Imaging Informatics and MRI Fellowship Programs at the University of Maryland and also the founding chair of American College of Radiology’s Imaging and Informatics Commission. He is a graduate of the Aga Khan University Medical College in Pakistan, completed his training in Medicine at New York University, Radiology training at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, along with his fellowship in the Imaging Informatics at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Siddiqui has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles, first as an academic and he has continued publishing in the private sector. Dr. Siddiqui is a member of the board of doctors as well as advisory boards of various startups around the world and sits on various national committees on health care and medical imaging.

In his spare time, Dr. Siddiqui loves spending time with his family. He and his two sons can often be found exploring Chicago on bikes in between painting and SCUBA diving.
