If you have ever had questions on Islamic financing and banking, look no further than M. Shams Billah. Shams will be speaking about the Halal Economy at the Muppies Conferences, focusing on the advancement of institutional Islamic finance.
The University of Pennsylvania Law School graduate is a Senior Attorney at Hughes, Hubbard & Reed LLP’s Banking & Financial Services group in New York City, where he advises both Islamic and conventional financial institutions. Shams’ clients range from up and coming startups to Fortune 500 corporations to private equity firms, who have sought his expertise in financing, credit, and restructuring.
Outside of work, Shams co-founded the newly established Interfaith Attorney Affinity Group. He is also an active member of Muppies and is a member of Hughes Hubbard’s Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
