Whether it’s founding Prysm Capital or spending nine years at BlackRock Private Equity Partners, Muhammad Mian has managed teams and organization through different stages of growth. Muhammed has leveraged his experiences across the technology, consumer and healthcare industries to invest in and grow market-leading companies. These experiences have taught him how to weight the strategic challenges of navigating different phases of a career – a skill becoming ever more pertinent as employees shift careers faster than ever before.

Prior to founding Prysm Capital, Muhammed spent nine years at BlackRock, where he served on the Board of Directors of Cofense, Qumulo, WoundTech, PLNTF Holdings (Planet Fitness franchisee), and AIM Aerospace (the Executive Board of the One Team Collective) and was an observer to the Board of Directors of Convene and Stonefire Grill. Prior to that, he built a storied career working for Salesforce, TiVo and Merrill Lynch Private Equity Partners.

Muhammad is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 22) and earned a BBA degree from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
