London kicked off 2019 with a committee dinner and introducing its In Conversation series. Each event will be an intimate evening with a guest speaker focusing on topics of interest followed by a Q and A.
We kicked off the series by addressing the importance of having relatable role models with our guest speaker from the Princes’ trust Nizam Uddin.
The team then jetted off to NYC for the annual Leadership conference which was a fantastic opportunity to build the global narrative and share ideas with other committees.
This lead on to our first global collaboration with Muppies DC for our second In Convo piece focusing on ethical/halal investing. Saad Zariff, VP of North America Wahed Investment flew into London to join us at the BBC for an evening.
The series has been a huge success so far and inshallah future topics to look out for include an insight into the world of sustainable clean water initiatives, women in leadership, and tech entrepreneurs.
Muppies London is currently preparing for our annual Ramadhan iftar which is always one our members look forward to each year and inshallah this year it looks to be bigger and better!
Five months in, this year has a great buzz around it and the team is energised and focused on making 2019 a huge success and to continue to bring the best content and calibre of speakers to our members.
